We could point to an individual event at Preservation Hall, but the truth is that there's outstanding live jazz at this legendary venue just about every day of the week. Depending on when you visit, you might see Wendell Brunious and the Preservation Hall Legacy Band, Leroy Jones and the Preservation Jazz Masters, Preservation All-Stars ft. Thursdays on the River is a free fall concert series held at the Riverwalk Outlets, with outdoor shows on the lawn every Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Each week's concert has a different theme, and jazz is often a featured genre. Upcoming Thursdays on the River concerts that include jazz are Jazz and Blues Night (October 24, 2024), Jazz and Country Night (October 31), and Jazz and Blues Night once more for the final concert of the season on November 21, 2024. -
Hispanic Heritage Month Concert: Javier Olondo Quartet – 400 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, LA 70116
Another great event from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Hispanic Heritage Month Concert: Javier Olondo Quartet will be taking place on November 9, 2024. It's the final concert for this year's Hispanic Heritage Month series, with every event in the series free and open to the public. Note that seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's worth arriving early. -
Beignet Fest – Henry Thomas Dr., New Orleans, LA 70124
Always a fun, family-friendly event, Beignet Fest is back once again at City Park on November 16, 2024. Enjoy a day filled with sweet treats, fun activities for kids, food trucks, artisan markets, and live, local music. There will be plenty of jazz in the air, with 6 concerts throughout the day, beginning with the Prism Project at 10:10 AM and wrapping up with Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen at 5:00 PM.
